I've been in moving anxiety hell this week. I think this is common, but I feel more worked up than most. I've never had such a big moving job before. While I pack, I feel like every corner I turn reminds me of yet another thing I need to find another box to pack it in. And if I was moving it all myself, I wouldn't really care, because it's MY stuff, I don't mind moving it and I don't mind if I have to carry things in slipshod bags and boxes because I know how to treat it right. But we don't have the manpower to move ourselves right now, so we're hiring movers, which I've never done before, and I'm nervous about it.
*I'm worried about getting everything packed in time.
*I'm worried about not finding enough boxes to put all our stuff in.
*I'm worried the movers are going to yell at me for having more boxes and bags than I thought I would.
*I'm worried the movers are going to yell at me for not packing my stuff properly.
*I'm worried they are going to dawdle so they can charge me an arm and a leg more than they already are.
Hopefully this will all be over and fine by tomorrow night. Then the unpacking begins, which I am actually more than happy to do.
Needless to say I've been to busy to blog. I may try to squeeze out some scheduled posts over the next few days, but we'll see. Until then, I'll see you on the other side.
Please send happy thoughts and any positive moving stories you may have to share my way. And oh yeah if you could send me some boxes that would help too ;-)
